Dear friends of «Pislya Sluzhby» (After Service)!
Traditionally, we inform you of our most interesting meetings and results. We summarize the results of August and tell you how we and you spent this time and what successes we achieved!
First of all, we raised a significant amount of money and transferred 112,450 UAH for the rehabilitation of two soldiers - Oleksandr and Kyrylo!

In August, we researched the question of how and where to seek psychological help, in particular for the military and their families. We created a list of resources, centers and organizations that provide such assistance.

On August 7, «the Pislya Sluzhby« (After Service) Foundation signed a memorandum with the National Agency on Corruption Prevention with the support of the Ministry of Veterans on the reintegration of veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The cooperation includes employment counseling, community building, joint projects, and the opportunity to take up positions in the NACP.

We are committed to ensuring rights and equality for all citizens of Ukraine and support our military and veterans from the LGBT+ community. Accordingly, on August 7, 2024, we signed a memorandum of cooperation with the LGBT+ Military!

On August 12, we plunged into the world of abstract painting together with the artist Anatoliy Galitsky. This workshop became a space where emotions that are difficult to express in words came to life through the play of colors and shapes.

From August 12 to 16, the «Pislya Sluzhby« (After Service) Foundation held a series of trainings for the staff of the TCR on communication algorithms, social and psychological support for veterans and their families, as well as families of missing and fallen defenders.

The successful transition of our military personnel and veterans to civilian life requires a variety of tasks. That's why on August 20, we held a meeting with the American Chamber of Commerce to discuss veterans' employment.

Understanding the challenges faced by people who have lost their limbs, we decided to expand our activities and signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Dopomohator Charitable Organization on August 20 to help war victims who have lost their upper limbs.

On August 23, the «Pislya Sluzhby« (After Service) Foundation attended the VII International Veterans Forum “Ukraine. Veterans. Unity”. The participants discussed the strategy of veteran policy, support for veterans, veteran entrepreneurship and new regional divisions.

From August 24 to August 31, Ukrainian soldiers and Maryana, project manager of the «Pislya Sluzhby« (After Service) Foundation, took part in the Warrior's Week in Denmark, organized by Danish Wounded Warriors.

Every act of kindness is important, and the recognition of the After Service Foundation at the Charity Kyiv Region competition, where we won 3rd place in the Platform of Kindness nomination at the Regional Charity Kyiv Region competition, is a great honor.

The most important events for us were the successes of our veterans. As a result of intensive rehabilitation and recovery, our Andriy Pechenyuk has achieved incredible results and is actively working on walking with rehabilitation specialists.

On the last day of the month, August 28, we gathered for our traditional meeting «Veteran Connect: A Circle of Openness«, where we exchanged views, played a card game and talked about various topics with Olena Katerynych, a crisis psychologist and art therapist.

It is also worth mentioning that we held 4 meetings within the framework of Veteran Dance: Argentine tango for veterans, where veterans and their partners plunged into the world of tango and improved their skills!
