Meeting with the Chief of Kyiv-Passenger Railway Station, Petro Stetsiuk, and opening a recreation room for servicemen

Since the early days of the war, Ukrainian Railways has evacuated over 4 million people, including approximately 1 million children. Everyone probably remembers the scenes of February 2022 when the platforms of all railway stations were crowded with people trying to evacuate.

Currently, the Kyiv Central Railway Station operates in regular mode for passenger and freight transportation and serves as a major transportation hub used by military personnel to reach their place of service or return home.

In early March 2023, we met with the Head of the Kyiv railway station to discuss improving the conditions for veterans and their families at the railway station in Kyiv while they wait for their trains. After speaking with Petro Arseniyovych, we agreed to cooperate in facilitating the improvement of conditions, and we plan to continue working in this area in the future.

We must ensure the comfort of our heroes. Therefore, starting on March 10, we announce the launch of a recreation room in a hotel near the Southern Railway Station in Kyiv. It is a small standard room with four beds where veterans or military personnel and their families can stay overnight while waiting for their train.

Registration is carried out via the waiting room administration for servicemen at the Central Railway Station, so all the details can be obtained there.

Thank you for the daily heroism of the iron-willed workers of Ukrainian Railways. And thank you for the comprehensive support of veteran initiatives.
