“Pislya Sluzhby” Foundation successfully cooperates with the Rehabilitation center “NextStep Ukraine” since its inception.
The other day, case-managers from the Charitable Foundation “Pislya Sluzhby” had a friendly visit to the Rehabilitation Center “NextStep Ukraine” in the town of Irpin, to have a conversation and exchange thoughts and plans about further cooperation.
Center “NextStep Ukraine” was founded by the Foundation “Revived Soldiers Ukraine” in 2018, it was the first neurorehabilitation center in Ukraine for people with damages of the central nervous system, in particular brain and spinal cord. The “Revived Soldiers Ukraine '' Foundation itself was created due to the willingness to help one hero with rehabilitation and prosthesis, but has risen to the level of international organization in support of Ukrainian defenders.
The Foundation's team puts lots of effort every day to provide high quality and free prosthesis in the US and rehabilitation in Rehabilitation Center “NextStep Ukraine” for as many Ukrainian defenders as possible.
We especially want to note the high speed of responses to the requests of patients and high professionalism of the “NextStep Ukraine” center. Our soldiers who went through the rehabilitation in the center, received highly qualified help and achieved impressive results.
After visiting the center personally, case-managers have witnessed a comfortable and homely atmosphere, with an indomitable spirit and a strong desire to help our heroes.
We are thankful for your tireless work, because together we become stronger.
Director of the “NextStep Ukraine” - Tatyana Rudenka
“[We] opened in 2018 as a type of American project. The President of our Foundation, Iryna Vashchuk, started to help our wounded in 2014. And lots of requests were about rehabilitation, especially guys with severe neurotraumas. But it is quite difficult and expensive [to transport to the US], so then she talked to NextStep Los Angeles and they supported the idea of opening the center here. She was fully consulted and learned everything from the start: equipment, machinery, work, they helped, advised her. All our equipment is brought from abroad, Ira follows all the new products. For example, before the full-scale war we didn’t have as many requests for both prosthesis and rehabilitation. There are a lot of boys and girls with hand injuries.
Recently, “Modeo” device was delivered. Very interesting: not only does it determine the sensitivity level, but it also happens in a game format.”
