During the defense of Ukraine's land and sovereignty, he was severely wounded in Mariupol at the Azovstal plant during intense rocket shelling and mortar fire in April 2022 while storming positions.
"It landed near me, about 2-3 meters away. I saw a powerful explosion, but then I could only see smoke... It pierced my helmet and shredded through my body armor. My comrades dragged me to the nearest basement, where fighting continued throughout the night, but I couldn't hear any of it. Then I was evacuated."
He has been serving and defending Ukraine since 2015, married, with a child waiting for him at home. As a result of the injury, he was diagnosed with a complex ear trauma caused by the blast, resulting in almost complete deafness in his right ear, intense migraines, and pain due to loud sounds. Additionally, there is a risk of losing hearing in his other ear due to sudden loud noises.
Thanks to the partners of "Pislya Sluzhby," a unique hearing device that dampens loud sounds and amplifies soft ones was found, preserving the soldier's health and allowing him to hear and live a full life again. Moreover, this device can be connected to a phone via Bluetooth as a headset, allowing him to make calls or use it as an earpiece. The soldier tested it, liked this new feature, and turned it on to listen to his favorite band, AC/DC.
In addition to the device, the young man will need rehabilitation and recovery. However, the most critical issue for today has already been addressed. We wish you a speedy recovery, and thank you for protecting us!
