Yulia Goncharova, the Pislya Sluzhby director, took part in a roundtable discussion "Problematic issues of enforcement of the rights of veterans and their families” organized by the Office of the Ombudsman of Ukraine.
Dmytro Lubinets, his deputies, deputies from the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans' Rights, and representatives of all services and ministries listened to the problems for 5 hours and answered questions from the veterans and representatives of veterans' organizations.
It was very inspiring to be heard and responded to. Unfortunately, as always, we talked about statuses, benefits, available medicines, rehabilitation facilities, and cycles, cancer among the military and their families, problems of obtaining Ukrainian citizenship by foreign defenders, commemoration and failures in creating a positive image of veterans in society, car insurance, and veteran sports, and almost all the issues we face in our daily work were raised.
We thank the Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets, his advisor on veterans' issues, Olga Danilova, and MPs Taras Tarasenko and Anatoliy Ostapenko, and Deputy Minister for Veterans' Affairs Ruslan Prykhodko for their understanding, work, willingness to make decisions and listen to feedback from those for whom these decisions are made.
