Training for the team of the Foundation «Pislya Sluzhby» (After Service) from the All-Ukrainian Council of Resuscitation

Yesterday, on October 16, The World Restart a Heart Day was celebrated.

According to statistics, 64% of deaths in Ukraine are due to cardiovascular diseases, and in the context of war, heart attacks and strokes in Ukraine have become younger by 10-15 years.

The team of the Foundation «Pislya Sluzhby» (After Service) communicates with veterans and active military personnel every day, so we must be ready to respond instantly to a person's sudden loss of consciousness or deterioration of their physical condition.

From October 10 to 18, VGO «All-Ukrainian Council of Resuscitation and Emergency Medical Care» is conducting free BLS (Basic Life Support) courses for representatives of veteran organizations in 8 regions of Ukraine. We were fortunate to be included in this list, and today, in the walls of the Foundation's office, we were trained on basic resuscitation procedures.

For 8 hours, experienced instructors who are professional medics taught our team to act correctly and quickly in situations when a person nearby is in a life-threatening condition. Upon completion of the course, each of us received an internationally recognized certificate, which is registered with the European Resuscitation Council (ERC).

During the ongoing war we face new challenges every day, so it is everyone's duty to undergo such courses and be able to provide first aid during heart attacks and heart disease exacerbations.
We express our sincere gratitude to VGO «All-Ukrainian Council of Resuscitation and Emergency Medical Care» for their invaluable work in saving human lives!
