The war leaves terrible wounds - both visible and invisible. Unfortunately, no military escapes it. Some of the fighters lose their eyesight.
One of them is Vlad Yeshchenko, originally from Horlivka in Donetsk region. The war came to his house in 2014, when Vladyslav was a teenager, in 8 years it came back to his life again.
Then Vladyslav decided to join Ukrainian army, where he served as a sapper for the next 5 months. Until he exploded on mine on August 9th, 2022 near Bakhmut.
The soldier was seriously injured, but the most difficult thing for Vlad was that he lost his eyesight. The veteran is still undergoing long-term treatment to finally see the Victory.
