Sergiy Bordenyuk, known by the call sign "Artist," is a military who was discharged into the reserves due to age in August 2023. He volunteered for service on February 24, 2022. During the liberation of Kyiv, he participated in the evacuation of the wounded. Later, he served with the "Kraken" unit, providing aid in the Kharkiv region. In September, he was officially mobilized through the Kharkiv military commissariat. He initially served in the 92nd Brigade and was later transferred to the 53rd Brigade.
In April 2023, Sergiy was injured and suffered a concussion. During his recovery, he became interested in studying psychology. He decided to change his profession to help his fellow soldiers, believing that no one can understand a war veteran better than another veteran.
Sergiy reached out to the “Pislya Sluzhby” (After Service) Foundation for assistance in changing his career path. The Foundation funded a psychology course, and now Sergiy uses his new skills to support other veterans.
