Yuriy is a volunteer, he fought from 2014th to 2019th. Despite having no prior military experience, he proved to be an excellent gunner and artillery commander.
He suffered a serious injury in battle, after which he was paralyzed for many years. After a series of operations on the spinal cord, he began to relearn how to live and take care of himself.
Yuriy was refused free rehabilitation at the hospital, as they explained that "the injury was no longer fresh’’. After this, Yuriy did not seek or ask for help anymore, but representatives of our foundation coincidentally met him at the hospital. Thus began the path of Yuriy's rehabilitation.
With the support of our partners from the "Northern Lights NGO", our Foundation covered Yuriy's three months of rehabilitation in Chernihiv.
Additionally, our legal team assisted him in obtaining all the necessary documents from the military unit to obtain a combatant certificate.
Yuriy is very grateful to «Pislya Sluzhby» (After Service) for the support and payment for his rehabilitation. And we are inspired by Yuriy's bravery and resilience, and proud of his achievements.
