Maryna is an active member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Back in May 2023, she willingly enlisted and was stationed in the eastern part of Ukraine. On the personal front, Maryna is unmarried and has two kids, being taken care of by her mom while she's on duty.
Unfortunately, Maryna's mom got sick and couldn't keep up with the grandkid duties. Faced with this, Maryna decided it was time to leave the army, but she wasn't clear on the legal steps to make it happen.
Case manager of “Pislya Sluzhby” (After Service) Oleksandr turned to the lawyers of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund for help and they provided detailed explanations of the entire process. Now the military is in the process of being released from the service.
Recently, Maryna expressed her desire to continue helping the military, but already as a military psychologist. Our Foundation stepped in, covering the costs for her psychology courses. Maryna is all set to embark on this exciting new phase of education and service.
