Olena is a veteran of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO).
When the full-scale invasion began, she, along with her husband, joined a volunteer battalion, later integrating into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They found themselves in encirclements, but fortunately managed to escape.
A year ago Olena's husband was killed. Dealing with this loss plunged her into a deep depression, but over time, she summoned the resilience to carry on.
