At the «Pislya Sluzhby» (After Service) Foundation, we develop initiatives and activities that help veterans and strengthen their family and friendships. In cooperation with our partners, we organise events and implement projects aimed at supporting veterans. Our programmes provide social, psychological and professional adaptation, creating conditions for their successful integration and development of harmonious communication in society.

Last Saturday, May 31, a warm gathering of veterans and their families took place at the “Bike Box Caffee” in Muromets Park. The day was filled with support, gratitude, and sincerity — a reminder that we are not alone.
Special thanks to the International Renaissance Foundation for their support.
The program included tango dancing, angel painting, theatre exercises, a haka performance, board games, pétanque, communal singing, and delicious shurpa and barbecue.
This day left an unforgettable mark. It was a space for joy, support, memories, and new meaning. Because it’s in moments like these that you truly feel: together — we are strong.

Our veterans and their families spent five days on a retreat in beautiful Bakota, combining the harmony of nature, art, and new knowledge.
The program included art therapy, historical and cultural excursions, workshops on starting your own business and grant opportunities, visiting a greenhouse farm, tastings, and nature therapy on the slopes of the Dniester Canyon.
A special highlight of the retreat was Lucky — an incredible dog who became the main source of stress relief during the trip. Huge thanks to everyone who helped organize this meaningful retreat for our defenders!

It’s about relaxing the soul, making wishes come true, connecting with friends, embracing creativity, and finding joy. It’s a time for dreams.
Our space was filled not only with the aroma of beeswax but also with the warmth of friendly hearts.

On this sunny Sunday, we spent time with veterans and their families exploring old Kyiv.
Our guide Anna told us about Prince Volodymyr the Baptizer, Yaroslav the Wise, and Princess Olga, showed the oldest street in the city, and shared insights into the life of Kyivans 1000 years ago.
The excursion was enjoyed by everyone and left warm memories.

Today we took a little peek at our veterans. Some were singing, others were playing guitar, piano, or other instruments.
It's wonderful to see our veterans discovering new talents within themselves. They inspire us with their enthusiasm and achievements!

On October 18, we held an art therapy workshop for veterans and their families, where everyone could express their creative potential.
Under the guidance of Halia, a veteran and artist, participants painted landscapes and horses, explored different techniques, and shared their impressions.
The event provided inspiration, a break from daily routines, and a desire to continue creating.

Yesterday, the traditional "Veteran Connect: Circle of Openness" meeting took place, once again confirming that our strength lies in unity.
Olena Katerynych, a crisis psychologist and art therapist, moderated the discussion, creating a comfortable atmosphere for sharing thoughts, plans, and ideas for development. Participants also played card games and conversed on various topics, fostering mutual understanding and openness.

The abstract painting masterclass with artist Anatoliy Halytsky gave veterans and their families an opportunity for creative self-expression, a connection with the power of color, and an hour and a half of interaction with like-minded people.
Such creative gatherings have a powerful therapeutic effect.
We invite veterans, servicemen, and their families to our creative workshops, because this is art therapy in action!

The July veterans’ meeting brought participants together through a screening of the film "The Secret Life of Words," with commentary from psychologist Olena Katerynych and discussions on current topics in Ukraine. The traditional Veterano Pizza and lively debates created a warm atmosphere, and we warmly welcome new members to our community.

On Friday, our veterans and their families gathered for the "Veterans' Picnic" at X-Park together with partners: the Eastern Star Charitable Foundation, the International Renaissance Foundation, Next Step Ukraine, and Revived Soldiers Ukraine.
The day combined friendly socializing, active water games, pétanque, and live music by the band "The Kum."
During the official part, the foundation’s leaders, artists, and service members spoke, concluding the day with an energetic performance by Roman Matsyuta.
The picnic brought warm emotions, new connections, and strengthened the veterans' community — and this series of gatherings will continue!

On November 10, 2023, at the "After Service" Foundation office, the second Petrykivka painting workshop was held by master Hanna Shostak.

On September 9, 2023, at the "After Service" Foundation office, an oil painting workshop was held under the guidance of Halyna Morar.
Participants learned techniques for working with oil paints, were inspired by Gustav Klimt's canvas, and created their own masterpieces.

Artist Anastasia Butler , who had to relocate to the UAE due to the occupation of Crimea, held a watercolor workshop at the "After Service" Foundation Creative Studio.
Participants painted flowers and symbols meaningful to Ukraine, refined their watercolor techniques, and created their own artworks. The session combined art therapy, social interaction, and mutual support, fostering skill development, experience exchange, and new connections.

On June 17, the "After Service" Foundation held a painting workshop for children under the care of the "Mriya" Charitable Foundation. Artist Lyudmyla Romanenko taught children various techniques and helped them bring their ideas to life on canvas. The session fostered creative development, emotional relief, and inspiration.

The "After Service" Foundation delivers pizza to wounded soldiers in hospitals every Wednesday, bringing treats and support. Together with partners "Veterano Pizza," we inform veterans about the foundation's activities, projects, and available assistance, reminding them they are not alone. In the future, we also plan joint workshops for children and adults.

On May 6, the "After Service" Foundation held a workshop on making a rainstick. Participants created a unique musical instrument used for meditation, music, and rituals. The session combined creativity and setting a spring mood, symbolizing triumph over the winter darkness.

The "After Service" Foundation held a pencil drawing workshop led by artist and volunteer Lyudmyla Romanenko.
Participants learned pencil techniques, form and shadow reproduction, and composition, while practicing meditative drawing to relieve stress and improve focus.
