Creating a Rainstick, also known as the “Rain Flute” — a ritual, meditative musical instrument that imitates the sound of rain, a stream, or ocean waves. Since ancient times, people have sought to connect more deeply with nature and draw strength from it.
This workshop on making your own rainstick will immerse you in the process of crafting a unique instrument, used by musicians and shamans in different cultures around the world. The rainstick has traditionally been used to call for rain for harvests, as well as a musical instrument in various genres.
Let’s tune our mood to the notes of Spring’s Victory over the darkness of a long winter.
